i thought maybe i could find myself.

The first time I heard this song it made me cry. I'm not a huge country fan, but what the song is about really spoke to me. The house that I lived in with my grandparents will probably be torn down in the next year and it makes me sad to think that 2 centuries of life end there. I know it was a great home to me. If those walls could talk.

so this is love.

if i had a million dollars.

Ok, so I enjoy celebrities. I enjoy their gossip, their stories, clothes...every thing. So if I could meet any celebrity I would choose from these fine people. I know Mr. Ledger, Marilyn and THE John Lennon have passed but if I had the option I would love to speak to them and live a day in their life. These people are talented, compassionate, driven, intelligent, and beautiful. I also see a little bit of my friends in each of these people. A fairly diverse group and yet they each speak to me. I know there's some thing to learn from every person and these people have accomplished so much.Maybe some day...

you were always on my mind.

So I have a lot on my mind this Easter Sunday evening.
1. My baby brother will be 21 tomorrow. I can't believe it. Where does the time go?

2. I regret not getting this beautiful comforter at Ikea when I was there. My bedroom lacks a, what's the word? Comforting atmosphere would be the best phrase I suppose. It would be a lot of help if I could paint also. The previous tenants painted rooms in my house awful colors. Light yellow, baby blue and even mint green in the kitchen. What's so wrong with a egg shell white? Ugh. Any way, this comforter isn't on their website, but it's a darker speckled cream color with very thin blue stripes. It's wonderfully masculine that begs to be mixed with some floral pillows and feminine accent pieces.

3. I've been single for 6 years now...when is the time to jump on the bandwagon and just sign up already?

4. Harry Potter. Enough said. ha ha.

from the mouth of babes.

I love me some babies. In 2011 I will have 13 new babies in my life; so far I've met 3 of them. Oh baby baby!

rapunzel rapunzel let down your hair.

In the true fashion of life change I have become bored with my hair. I haven't had a major haircut in about 12 years and my hair lies a few inches above my waist. I've died it plenty of times-red, blonde, brunette. I even permed it last year, which proved to be a HUGE mis-adventure on my part. I should have figured since my hair never held a curl for a curling iron why would it hold one for a perm. I love the long wavy locks, but have very thin hair and it doesn't style well in my opinion. I've contemplated dreads numerous times, but would regret doing them and then eventually hating them. Oh life is a changin'. What to do?

to grandmothers house we go.

I love going "home". Mount Ayr, Iowa is a small town with a lot of wonderful for me. This weekend was no exception and I was surrounded by some of my favorite people in the world. I know that I am a very blessed person, but this weekend put me on an overload of incredible people. Just in my graduating class alone I'm surrounded by an actor, service men, a service woman, a lawyer, teachers, athletic trainer, nurses, mothers, fathers, coach, banker, farmers, computer tech. In my opinion the size of my class, a huge 64 people, is loaded with some very accomplished and great people. On my hour and a half drive home I concluded a list of 3 songs that make me think of home every time I hear them. Although going on home is bitter sweet since both of my grandparents have passed I have so many people there that love me and I love them right back.

if it walks like a duck.

This past week I go to go to Omaha and I was lucky enough to go to the Henry Doorly Zoo! Although I was sad that there were no elephants I let it pass since they had an abundance of penguins. Plus there was a monkey that was cleverly peeling the calking off the window for an escape and the butterfly building. So I've basically forgiven the zoo for no elephants....this time.

life is a circus.

I read the book "Water for Elephants" about 3 years ago and have been eagerly waiting for the movie to come out. It will be released April 22nd and I can't wait to get to the theater. I hope the film does the book justice.

ask and you shall receive.

Look what I FINALLY found. Almost 3 years later and I finally found a pair of key bib overalls just like my Grandpa Richard wore. I'm going to turn this pair into a skirt, but they are wonderfully perfect. I can't wait to wear them!!

the new phone books are here.

the end.

I miss doing graphic design. I might be a little rusty, but I try my best. I did some graduation invitation ideas for a lady whose son's senior photos I took. I think there's a little more information and editing to be done, but they don't look half bad if you ask me.

secret garden.

In honor of spring finally making an appearance in my life, a slow appearance but one none the less. I've already started preparation on the garden, seeds, new hose and tools, cages organized, plot planned...I can't wait to get my fingers in the dirt! I found inspiration on pinterest and knew I had to share!
