word to your motha.

Your journey is not a race. Stop comparing your journey to others and continue at your own pace, as comparing will only trip you up. -Katherine Dunham

listen to your elders.

I found this on Mother Nature Network and it made me thing of what great things my grandparents taught me that I didn't think that much about.

1. Kick the bottle -the water bottle
2.  Let it all hang it out -even the panties
3. Grow local -like back yard local
4. 'Rain, rain, don’t go away' -well, rain is free
5. Brown bag it -eat up
6. Game time -I love a good Scrabble night
7. Buy less -that pretty much speaks for itself

bless this child and bless this day.

Dearest Father in Heaven,
Bless this child and bless this day
Of new beginnings.
Smile upon this child
And surround this child, Lord,
With the soft mantle of your love.
Teach this child to follow in your footsteps,
And to live life in the ways of
Love, faith, hope and charity.

let's get together.

This is the co-op I joined...YUM!!!

i'll cry if i want to.

My twenty sixth birthday is fast approaching and although I would love a home of my own for my birthday this year, I think I'll probably be waiting for a few months for that. Not to mention that's a little more than just a birthday gift...it's more like a you worked your tooshie off and get to buy your self somethin' real nice. So I settled on a reasonable wish list this year, since I won't be able to make it to Market Day this year to buy myself a gift like last year (curse my work schedule!).

Ok so this extra super duper cute boston terrier probably can't be found at Market Day or online, but wouldn't he be a fantastic surprise?

I actually needed this the other day. I did not excel in math.

YES!

My craptastic Target desk isn't expected to see it's 10 month anniversary.

It's silly, but I want it!

Well hello you.

k? okay!

learn me somethin'.

I try to learn something every day. Even if it's something small, like a regular's name at work. Lately my focus has been on photos, poses, business, etc. Here's some places I found a little inspiration and "edge-mication" as my nephew calls it.

how does your flower grow.

When I get married I think my hardest choice will be flowers. Pinterest gives me too many ideas and I'm a Libra and poor decision maker as it is. If my Grandma Judy was still alive, she would be the perfect source of advice. She was a florist for 20 years before she passed and was always ahead of the game. She would go drudging through the woods and fields collecting wild vines, berries, and twigs. She made her own wreaths and cross', always made me unique corsages for prom, and filled our yard with lavender. So here's my extra long list of "likes". Oh some day I'll have the tough task of making flower choices...until then, a girl shall dream!
