Last weekend my niece and nephew stayed at my house for a few hours. When I decided to paint my toes Aubrey had to as well. She was very patient and we blew on her piggies until the paint was dry. She was very willing to get a photo taken so that we could share it with Gampa.

My Aunt Diane sent me a photo she got my Grandma Judy at her first wedding-she was married three times. I'm not sure how old she is, but she looks around 18 years old. Her dress is gorgeous and she looks so happy. The original is hand painted.

Mandy got me an amazing monkey balloon and pin wheel for Valentine's Day. I'm a lucky girl.
I got my dad a take care of your ol' ticker Valentine's Day gift. I hope he does take the goodies to work and enjoy them...yum yum!!

day of love.

I'm not a big Valentine's Day person. First on the account that I've never had a boyfriend on v-day and second on the account that I lost my Grandpa Dick on said day and haven't really cared for it much since. I think love should be celebrated on more than just one day of the year. So I will be celebrating the people that I love in general. My friends, my family, the living, and the lost. I choose to use the day to remember my grandfather who I didn't get to spend enough time with, but can recall so much and was told stories about him by my grandma until she passed. Love...it's all you need.

camp euforia.

I might be going to camp euforia alone this year...well I take that back, I will sleep in a tent alone, but I will be with some wonderful people all weekend. I believe I will be purchasing a ticket tomorrow as my Valentine's day gift to myself. And what a better gift than joy and a weekend get away for only $45! I can feel the green grass under my toes, the morning yoga stretching my limbs, and hear the vibration of the music permeating the camp grounds.

I didn't take photos of any of my meals because quite honestly I've been hungry with this diet. That combined with usually not getting to eat when I work has resulted in feeling starving about 75% of the time.

4. Organic mac n cheese
5. ham and bean soup


I really need to plan things out better...my next adventure is roasted eggplant with pasta. My cousin in California sent me a rockin' recipe that I'm excited to try.
